ABOUT AKBAR
Before coaching full-time, I spent more than 30 years as a chief people officer and senior leader in mission-driven health care organizations. That experience gave me a frontline understanding of what leaders actually face: the organizational dynamics, the human costs, and the persistent gap between intention and impact. I bring that depth to every coaching engagement.

Years of Senior Leadership Experience
Leaders Coached
Executive Experience
I believe many highly capable women leaders are carrying far more than others realize.
They are navigating visibility challenges, workplace dynamics, organizational complexity, and competing demands, often while balancing significant responsibilities outside of work.
Yet too often, leadership support focuses only on performance and not the person.
That is why I do this work.
My coaching philosophy is grounded in Coherent Servant Leadership™, my own augmentation of Robert Greenleaf's servant leadership model: leading from a place of inner coherence, so you can serve others, navigate complexity with wisdom, and create the conditions for people and organizations to flourish. Strategy, visibility, influence, sponsorship, confidence in senior settings: each matters.
Yet sustainable growth begins internally.
Coherent leadership enables grace under pressure.
My work helps women leaders navigate complexity with clarity, advocate for themselves with authenticity, and grow in ways that are aligned, grounded, and built to endure.
Before becoming an executive coach, I served as a Chief People Officer, partnering closely with leaders and organizations to strengthen leadership capability, organizational effectiveness, and culture.
Over the years, I have coached C-suite leaders, senior executives, and emerging leaders through periods of growth, transition, and complexity.
I bring together executive leadership experience, evidence-based coaching approaches, and a deep belief in human potential.
Navigating the complexities of C-suite dynamics with a blend of strategic foresight and deep empathy.
Applying rigorous, data-informed frameworks to solve deeply human organizational challenges.
Seeing beyond the org chart to understand the cultural currents that genuinely drive performance.
Helping teams grow into their full capability, building organizations that are resilient and built to endure.
A commitment to coaching excellence requires rigorous, continuous training.
My certifications reflect a deep investment in evidence-based methodologies, psychological frameworks, somatic and embodied leadership approaches, leadership development and organizational effectiveness methodologies and internationally recognized coaching standards.
A prestigious, International Coaching Federation (ICF)-accredited credential from a pioneer in executive development. Grounded in human development theory and a signature "Self-as-Coach" philosophy, it focuses on strengthening leadership capacity, navigating complex career transitions, and driving sustainable organizational change.
A globally recognized mastery credential requiring advanced training and over 500 hours of verified coaching experience.
A scientifically validated assessment framework used to measure how your leadership style is perceived by others, mapping your core professional drivers and potential workplace blind spots.
A specialized credential focused on measuring and developing advanced emotional intelligence, stress resilience, and self-regulation.
Trained in applying IFS principles to executive coaching and leadership dynamics.
My commitment to coaching women leaders is deeply personal.
I first saw resilience, courage, steadiness, and extraordinary perseverance in my late mother, who carried our family through a season of uncertainty and later rebuilt her life in a new country.
I saw those qualities again in my late wife, who faced serious illness with extraordinary grace while continuing to pursue her education and work.
Those experiences shaped my deep respect for the strength, intelligence, and leadership women bring, especially when they are carrying far more than others realize.
Today, that perspective shapes how I support women leaders navigating complex, often male-dominated environments and help them lead with greater confidence, influence, and authenticity.
True growth occurs where relational safety meets genuine structure. These five values anchor my approach; every engagement is rooted in respect, clarity, and follow-through.
Approaching every challenge with an open mind, seeking to deeply understand before seeking to solve.
Providing a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore vulnerabilities without fear of failure.
Meeting you exactly where you are, honoring your journey and the human complexity behind your professional role.
Holding you firmly to your highest potential and the commitments you make to yourself and your organization.
Zooming out to see the broader systems at play, reframing obstacles as opportunities for systemic growth.
I'm committed to the transformation of every leader I work with, which is why I take on a limited number of clients each quarter. If this is your moment, I'd welcome the conversation.
